Joseph-Marie  married  Françoise COTE 27 October 1752 in Trois-Pistoles, Canada, New France .  The couple had (at least) 10 children.
Françoise COTE  was born 16 July 1730 in Rimouski, Québec, Canada (Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur) (Saint-Germain) (Le Bic).  Françoise died 27 November 1815 in Canada.  Françoise was the child of Prisque-Pierre CÔTÉ and Ursule BERNIER.

Joseph-Marie MARQUIS died 28 March 1809 in Saint-André, Kamouraska, Lower Canada .
