Jean-Baptiste  married  Madeleine MONCIAU dite DESORMEAUX 23 November 1744 in Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, Laval, Canada, New France .  The couple had (at least) 1 child.
Madeleine MONCIAU dite DESORMEAUX  was born 8 August 1726 in Laval, Québec, Canada (Saint François-de-Sales-de-l'Ile-Jésus).  Madeleine died 29 October 1814 in Rivière-des-Prairies, Montréal, Québec, Canada (Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rivière-des-Prairies)*.  Madeleine was the child of Pierre MONCIAU dit DESORMEAUX and Marie-Marguerite AUGER dite BARON.

Jean-Baptiste CHARTRAND died 12 December 1799 in Rivière-des-Prairies, Montréal, Lower Canada .
