'Like a fallen oak tree, ancestor Goulet was struck down by the windstorms of life on 26 November 1688. he was laid to rest in the cemetery of L'Ange-Gardien two days later. His burial was witnessed by his brother-in-law Rene Letartre and Mathurin Huot. We know that Marguerite Mulier survived him by about four years because she was present at the wedding of her son Joseph on 20 July 1692.'
