Arthur Sutherland Ford, 88, of Flagler Beach, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016. He was born in Harrison, Maine on February 17, 1928 to the late Rand C. Ford and Grace L. Ford (Russell). As a young man he served in the US Army and played cornet in the US Army band. During his working years he was a construction superintendent. He moved to the Flagler Beach area permanently in 2003 from Danbury, New Hampshire. He was a member of the Lions Club. Arthur was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed traveling and socializing. Arthur will always be remembered for his smile, quick wit and sense of humor. He was a loving family man. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie L. Ford in 2002; daughter, Peggy L. Ford in 1998; his sister, Althea; his brothers, Charlie, John and Stan. Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Marjorie Perry Ford; son, Peter (Jane) Ford of Richmond, CA; daughters, Patricia (Robert) Rennie of Fort Walton Beach, FL., Pamela Ford-Taylor (Richard) of...Read full story
