Mr. Crouss, a native of West Springfield, Mass., had retired from the Norfolk Public Schools and had retired as a Navy chief warrant officer after 30 years. He was a veteran of World War II and a Baptist. He was a member of the Hampton Roads Chapter of the Retired Officers Association and a life member of the National Retired Officers Association.
