Biography
Bernard, born in c1648, a farmer, married Françoise, daughter of Vincent Brun, at Port-Royal in c1670. They had 13 children, but only one of their sons created a family of his own by marrying into the Dugas family. Their daughters married into the Daigre, Dugas, Guilbeau, Melanson, Babineau, and Granger families. Bernard lived and died at Port-Royal, as did his son.

1695 - Oath of Allegiance to King William III
In August 1695, English authorities imposed on the Acadian inhabitants at Port-Royal an oath of allegiance to King William III. Many family heads signed or made their marks on the document that attested to their having taken the oath.
