DUDLEY - Miss Dorothy Kathryn Ziemski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Ziemski Sr., of 18 Central avenue, and Roger Edgar Tremblay, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Tremblay of 73 Moon street, married in St Louis Church, Webster at 9 o'clock this morning.
Mrs. William Radcliffe, a sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmades were Blanche Davis, and Pauline Zimeski, another sister. John S. Ziemski, Jr., of Willimantic, Conn., brother of the bride was the best man and ushers were Lester Adams of Webster and Dana Lee McKissick of Weston, Me.
A reception at the Elks Club in Southbridge followed the ceremony, and the copule left on a motor trip to Niagara Falls. They will make their home at 109 Marcy street, Southbridge.

Invention The microwave oven was invented accidentally in 1945 by Percy Spencer, a Raytheon engineer. While testing a magnetron, he noticed microwaves melted a candy bar in his pocket. Experimenting further, he discovered microwaves could cook food quickly. Raytheon patented the process, and by 1947, they built the first commercial microwave oven, called the 'Radarange.' Initially used in commercial settings, microwaves becomes affordable for home use by the 1960s and 1970s, revolutionizing cooking.

News1962 - The Cuban Missile Crisis was a tense 13-day standoff in October 1962 between the United States and the Soviet Union over the installation of Soviet nuclear missiles in Cuba, just 90 miles from the U.S. coast. The crisis is considered the closest the Cold War came to escalating into a full-scale nuclear war. It began when American spy planes discovered the missiles, leading to a U.S. naval blockade of Cuba and intense negotiations. The crisis ended when Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev agreed to remove the missiles in exchange for the U.S. promising not to invade Cuba and secretly agreeing to remove American missiles from Turkey.

Roger Tremblay, 41; Native of Southbridge

MOOSUP, Conn. - Roger E. Tremblay, 41, of Green Hollow Road, died yesterday at his home.

He was born in Southbridge, the son of Edgar and Jeannette (Lippe) Tremblay. He was a former driver for California Fruit Co. of Southbridge. He moved to this town about five years ago.

He was the husband of Rachel (Rumrill) Tremblay. He also leaves two sons, Roger and Kevin Tremblay of Southbridge; four daughters, Cynthia, Donna, Sharon, and Paula Tremblay of Southbridge; two step-daughters, Arlene and Deborah Morin of this town.

He also leaves a
Brother: , Robert Tremblay of Southbridge and a
Sister: , Sylvia, wife of Bruce S. Baker of Dudley.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Tillinghast Funeral Home of Central Village with
