Jean-Baptiste  married  Marie-Francoise PHANEUF 16 February 1784 in Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu, Province of Québec, Canada .  The couple had (at least) 5 children. Marie-Francoise PHANEUF  was born 29 January 1756 in Rivière-des-Prairies, Montréal, Québec, Canada (Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rivière-des-Prairies)*.  Marie-Francoise was the child of Pierre PHANEUF and Catherine BLAIS.

Jean-Baptiste  married  (2) Marie-Anne BILLY dite COURVILLE 5 October 1801 in Saint-Marc-sur-Richelieu, Lower Canada .  Marie-Anne BILLY dite COURVILLE  was born 25 May 1752 in Champlain, Québec, Canada (Notre-Dame-de-la-Visitation).  Marie-Anne was the child of Jean-Francois BILLY dit COURVILLE and Madeleine PERROT (PERRAULT) dite TURBAL.

Jean-Baptiste VANDAL died 17 October 1802 in Saint-Denis-sur-Richelieu, Lower Canada.

Some sites on the Internet claim that 20 September 1745 is his date of birth. That is the date of birth of his brother, who died in 1748.
