SOUTHBRIDGE, June 25. Oswald LIppe, World War veteran died last night at the home of his Sister: , Mrs. Armand Gaumond, 711 Main street. He was one of the first Southbridge men to enlist and was shot near the heart, the bullet remain there since the wound was inflicted in 1918. His case had baffled expert Army doctors ever since.
Mr. Lippe was single. He was born in Canada, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Edmond Lippe, and came to Southbridge as small boy. He was one of the most devoted baseball fans in Southbridge and was a member of Southbridge Post, No. 31, A.L. He leaves three Sister: s, Mrs Fannie, wife of Armand Gaumond; Mrs. Eva, wife of Ovide Potein and Miss Melodie Lippe and two Brother: s, Clement and John Lippe, all of Southbridge...
