Marie-Josette  married  Pierre ARCHAMBAULT 4 October 1784 in Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu, Canada, New France .  Pierre ARCHAMBAULT  was born 10 April 1736 in Rivière-des-Prairies, Montréal, Québec, Canada (Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rivière-des-Prairies)*.  Pierre died 2 June 1788 in Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu, Québec, Canada.  Pierre was the child of Pierre ARCHAMBAULT and Agathe-Marie FORGET.

Marie-Josette  married  (2) André FORGUES 15 January 1766 in Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse, Province of Québec, Canada .  The couple had (at least) 1 child.
André FORGUES  was born 11 August 1736 in Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse, Québec, Canada.  André died 1 April 1780 in Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse, Québec, Canada.  André was the child of Joseph FORGUES and Jeanne-Marguerite PAQUET dite LAVALLÉE.

Marie-Josette  married  (3) Archange GAUTHIER 26 January 1789 in Verchères, Province of Québec, Canada .  Archange GAUTHIER  was born 6 February 1750 in Saint-Denis-sur-Richelieu, Québec, Canada.  Archange died 21 January 1825 in Saint-Denis-sur-Richelieu, Québec, Canada.  Archange was the child of Louis GAUTHIER and Marie-Agnes MESSIER.

Did You Know? Québec Généalogie - What is a 'dit/dite' name?  When the first settlers came to Québec from France it was a custom to add a 'dit' nickname to the surname. The English translation of 'dit' is 'said'. The Colonists of Nouvelle France added 'dit' names as distinguishers. A settler might have wanted to differentiate their family from their siblings by taking a 'dit' name that described the locale to which they had relocated. The acquiring of a 'dit' name might also be the result of a casual adoption, whereby the person wanted to honor the family who had raised them. Another reason was also to distinguish themselves by taking as a 'dit' name the town or village in France from which they originated. This custom ended around 1900 when people began using only one name, either the 'dit' nickname or their original surname.
