Louis  married  Thérèse HETU 26 February 1821 in Lanoraie, Lower Canada .  Thérèse HETU  was born 10 January 1773 in Lavaltrie, Québec, Canada (Saint-Antoine).  Thérèse died 16 January 1857 in Lanoraie, Québec, Canada (Saint-Joseph-de-Lanoraie).  Thérèse was the child of François HETU and Marie-Madeleine BOURDON.

Louis BONIN died 11 December 1847 in Sainte-Élisabeth, Canada East .
