Joseph MICHEL dit TAILLON  was born 16 January 1678 in Château-Richer, Québec, Canada (La Visitation-de-Notre-Dame de Chateau-Richer).  He died 4 November 1733 in La Pocatière, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatiere).  He was the son of Olivier MICHEL dit TAILLON LETARDIF and Marie-Madeleine COCHON.

She married  (2) Alexis LAVOIE 3 July 1735 in Rivière-Ouelle, Canada, New France .  Alexis LAVOIE  was born 18 December 1695 in Rivière-Ouelle, Québec, Canada (Notre-Dame-de-Liesse).  He died 1 April 1769 in Rivière-Ouelle, Québec, Canada (Notre-Dame-de-Liesse).  He was the son of Jean-François LAVOIE and Marie-Madeleine BOUCHER.
