"Pierre was born on the Beaupre Coast on 10 January 1660... On 7 February 1684, at the age of twenty-four, Pierre Delamarre gave his heart to Marie Paulet, daughter of the Normand Antoine, a master carpenter, and of the Canadian Suzanne Miville...
Two daughters: Marie-Anne and Catherine, and two sons: Joseph and Pierre, were the riches of this Delamarre family. Three members of the third generation founded families. Pierre made his home at L'Ange-Gardien, at Saint-Pierre, I.O., and then at Saint-Pierre de Montmagny. He died at the Hotel-Dieu de Quebec on 21 November 1715, at the age of fifty-four."
