Jean-Baptiste FORTIN  was born 31 December 1749 in Isle-aux-Grues, Québec, Canada (Saint-Antoine).  Jean-Baptiste died 19 May 1825 in Sorel, Québec, Canada (Saint-Pierre).  Jean-Baptiste was the child of Claude FORTIN and Marie-Jeanne MÉTHOT.
