Placide GIRARD was the child of François GIRARD   and   Madeleine TREMBLAY and the grandchild of: (paternal)  Pierre GIRARD and Marie-Anne VÉZINA (maternal)  Nicolas TREMBLAY and Madeleine FORTIN

Placide  married  Moise TREMBLAY 6 November 1810 in Baie-Saint-Paul, Lower Canada .  The couple had (at least) 6 children.
Moise TREMBLAY  was born 31 December 1789 in Baie-Saint-Paul, Québec, Canada (Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul-de-Baie-Saint-Paul).  Moise died 23 March 1864 in Chicoutimi, Québec, Canada (Arvida) (Saguenay).  Moise was the child of Jacques-Vincent-Athanase TREMBLAY and Catherine LABRANCHE dite LAFOREST.

Placide GIRARD died 2 April 1829 in Saint-Urbain, Charlevoix, Lower Canada.
