Joseph  married  Marguerite BOUTIN 20 July 1756 in L'Ancienne Lorette, Canada, New France .  The couple had (at least) 1 child.
Marguerite BOUTIN  was born 1 May 1735 in L'Ancienne Lorette, Québec, Canada (Notre-Dame-de-l'Annonciation).  Marguerite died 20 April 1811 in Châteauguay, Québec, Canada (Saint-Joachim-de-Chateauguay) .  Marguerite was the child of Gabriel BOUTIN and Marie-Catherine ROUTIER (ROUTHIER).

Joseph GIRARD died 23 January 1810 in Sainte-Rose, Laval, Lower Canada .
