"The god-father of Paul Simard was ancestor Pierre Tremblay. Paul married Genevieve Gagnon in 1716. In the year of his marriage he agreed to care for his elderly mother Madeleine Racine in his home. Paul died prematurely, claims Archange Godbout, and was buried on 17 August 1733 at Petite-Riviere."
