Abraham was an immigrant to the United States, arriving by 1845.

Abraham LAMBERT died 14 August 1875 in Little Canada, Ramsey County, Minnesota, USA.



A generous found and benefactor of St. John's Church of Little Canada.

Born in P.Q. Canada in 1792. With his wife Angelique DeMers and their six children came to St. Boniface on the Red River in 1841 and to Little Canada in 1845.

Gave logs for first church here in 1851 and a 20 acre strip of land along the west line of his claim for this cemetery in 1853.

Died August 31, 1875, age 83. He is buried in this family lot with his beloved wife and several of his children.

Postmaster for Little Canada (New Canada) from 1852-1854.
Donated the land for Saint John's Cemetery.
which is located one block east of Saint John's Church (just off Highway 35E), this cemetery is the second oldest cemetery in the state of Minnesota. The oldest section (near the front gate) contains the graves of over one hundred members of pioneer families. The land for the cemetery was donated in 1851 by Abraham Lambert who, along with his wife and children, is buried in the cemetery. The cemetery was officially dedicated in 1855.
