Louis  married  Catherine HOUDE dite DESRUISSEAUX 24 June 1771 in Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly, Province of Québec, Canada .  Catherine HOUDE dite DESRUISSEAUX  was born 27 September 1751 in Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly, Québec, Canada.  Catherine died 4 June 1808 in Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly, Québec, Canada.  Catherine was the child of Charles HOUDE and Catherine-Geneviève HUOT dite ST-LAURENT.

Louis CROTEAU died 18 July 1828 in Sainte-Croix, Lotbinière, Lower Canada.
