Joseph  married  Marie-Josephe DEMERS (DUMAIS) 8 January 1748 in Boucherville, Canada, New France .  The couple had (at least) 5 children.
Marie-Josephe DEMERS (DUMAIS)  was born 15 September 1729 in Boucherville, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Famille-de-Boucherville).  Marie-Josephe died 17 September 1787 in Longueuil, Québec, Canada (Saint-Antoine-de-Longueuil).  Marie-Josephe was the child of Étienne DEMERS (DUMAIS) and Françoise VIGER.

Joseph BENOIT died 23 January 1795 in Longueuil, Lower Canada .
