Jean-Baptiste was deported as part of the Acadian Exile / Grand Derangement around 1755.

He married  Marie BREAU (BRAULT) 28 February 1764 in St-Suliac, Ille-et-Vilaine, France .  Marie BREAU (BRAULT)  was born abt. 1745 in Acadia, Canada (Acadie).  She died 5 August 1816 in Saint-Jacques, Québec, Canada (Saint-Jacques-de-Montcalm) (Saint Jacques de l’Achigan).  She was the daughter of Seraphin BREAU (BRAULT) and Brigitte MARTIN.

Jean-Baptiste DUGAS died 31 July 1805 in Saint-Jacques, Lower Canada .
