BOCA RATON, Fla. - Michael Altieri died peacefully on Sunday, July 10, 2005, in Boca Raton, Florida. Michael's wife of 59 years, Ruth, died in 2003.
Mike and Ruth Altieri were both born in Meriden, and lived there until they moved to Florida in 1990. Michael loved his family and friends, and always had a story to tell and a meal to share with them. In the last couple of years, his cat, Boy, and his garden gave him particular pleasure.
Mr. Altieri will always be remembered by his daughter, Donna, his grandson, Dexter and his son-in-law, Michael Thornton, all of Denver; his son, Daniel; his sisters, Rose Altieri and Eva Post; and his brothers, Albert in Los Angeles and Thomas.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, (TODAY) at 3 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Boca Raton. All donations in memory of Michael may be sent to St. Paul's, 701 West Palmetto Park Road, or Hospice by the Sea, 1531 West Palmetto Park Road, both in Boca Raton, FL...Read full story
