Obituary
Meiggs, Sr., John R., 83, passed away at home, Wednesday, October 28, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Elaine M. (Theinert) Meiggs for 59 years and a son of the late John L. and Helen E. (Moran) Meiggs. John worked as a aircraft engine mechanic at the Quonset Naval Air Station and was a retired Navy Veteran. He was a former member of the Rhode Island Shriners and known as 'Little John' the clown. John was an avid sportsman and sports fan. He enjoyed his family, sitting by a campfire, traveling, the beach, snorkeling, quahogging, reading, elaborate puzzles and his flower garden. He was the loving father of Linda Meiggs, Kim Hauser, Susan Misto, Sharon Moon, John Meiggs, Jr., and the late Ellen Meiggs; Brother of the late Charles R. and Ronald B. Meiggs; He is also survived by ten loving grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

His funeral service will be held Monday, November 2, 2015 at 11:30 AM in the Tucker-Quinn Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave....Read MORE...
