DONNELLY, Gerald E.
Gerald E. Donnelly, 84, of Enfield and formerly of Manchester, husband of the late Ruth A. (Beebe) Donnelly, died Friday (January 3, 2003) at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. He was born February 24, 1918 in Lowell, MA, son of the late Edward and Eva Pratt (Manchester) Donnelly and had been a resident of Manchester for more than 30 years before moving to Enfield in 1950. Mr. Donnelly was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during World War II. He had worked with the Connecticut Transit Co. for 30 years and then began a 25 year career as the Commissioner of the Hazardville Volunteer Fire Dept. In retirement he had worked on a part time basis with the U.S. Postal Service in the Kensington office. Gerald was a longtime member of the Hazardville United Methodist Church, the Manchester Lodge # 73 A.F. & A.M., the Sphinx Temple in Newington, the Sphinx Omar Shrine Club, the Grand Lodge of Connecticut, the Scottish
