Prisque  married  (2) Catherine MAUPAS dite ST-HILAIRE abt. 1750 in Québec Province, Canada .  The couple had (at least) 2 children.
Catherine MAUPAS dite ST-HILAIRE  was born 18 September 1727 in Yamaska, Québec, Canada (Saint-Michel-d'Yamaska).  Catherine died 8 September 1761 in Kamouraska, Québec, Canada (Saint-Louis) (Saint-Alexandre).  Catherine was the child of Nicolas MAUPAS dit ST-HILAIRE and Marie-Jeanne MONTMINY.

Prisque  married  (3) Marie-Louise MOREL dite LADURANTAYE 17 January 1763 in Kamouraska, Province of Québec, Canada .  The couple had (at least) 1 child.
Marie-Louise MOREL dite LADURANTAYE  was born 4 November 1736 in Kamouraska, Québec, Canada (Saint-Louis) (Saint-Alexandre).  Marie-Louise died 5 September 1821 in La Pocatière, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatiere).  Marie-Louise was the child of André MOREL dit LADURANTAYE and Marie-Thérèse LABOURLIERE.

Prisque GUÉRET dit DUMONT died 15 June 1791 in Kamouraska, Lower Canada .

Did You Know? Québec Généalogie - What is a 'dit/dite' name?  When the first settlers came to Québec from France it was a custom to add a 'dit' nickname to the surname. The English translation of 'dit' is 'said'. The Colonists of Nouvelle France added 'dit' names as distinguishers. A settler might have wanted to differentiate their family from their siblings by taking a 'dit' name that described the locale to which they had relocated. The acquiring of a 'dit' name might also be the result of a casual adoption, whereby the person wanted to honor the family who had raised them. Another reason was also to distinguish themselves by taking as a 'dit' name the town or village in France from which they originated. This custom ended around 1900 when people began using only one name, either the 'dit' nickname or their original surname.
