Biography
'As for the second daughter, the orphan Marie-Angelique, also called Madeleine, she had to earn her living while still very young. In 1716, she worked as a servant at the home of Elie Boucher, in the Lower Town of Quebec. Later she was in the service of Laurent Normandin dit Sauvage, and inn keeper. On 18 March 1720, the Sovereign Council informs us that she was in the employ of Pierre Rey-Gaillard, a merchant and the artillery supply officer in the Upper Town of Quebec. Marie-Angelique married a Breton soldier originally from Rennes, one Pierre Simon dit Dragon. They had seven children. I have not found the burial act for M.-Angelique.'
