Joseph-Abel  married  Marguerite DOUCET 28 September 1767 American Colonies .  Marguerite DOUCET  was born 18 March 1741 in Annapolis Royal, Annapolis, Nova Scotia, Canada (Port Royal, Acadia).  Marguerite died 29 December 1821 in Bécancour, Nicolet, Québec, Canada (Nativité-de-Notre-Dame-de-Becancour) (Saint-Edouard-de-Gentilly).  Marguerite was the child of Joseph DOUCET and Marie Anne BOURG.

Joseph-Abel BOURGEOIS died 23 October 1812 in Bécancour, Nicolet, Lower Canada .
