Louis  married  Marie-Josephe POITRAS 10 November 1828 in Saint-Roch-de-l'Achigan, Lower Canada .  Marie-Josephe POITRAS  was born 7 July 1806 in Saint-Roch-de-l'Achigan, Québec, Canada.  Marie-Josephe died 7 January 1845 in Saint-Roch-de-l'Achigan, Québec, Canada.  Marie-Josephe was the child of Joseph-Francois POITRAS dit TURENNE and Marie-Anne SENECAL (SENECHAL).

Louis  married  (2) Marie-Victoire SENECAL (SENECHAL) 17 February 1852 in Saint-Roch-de-l'Achigan, Canada East .  Marie-Victoire SENECAL (SENECHAL)  was born 12 June 1816 in Saint-Roch-de-l'Achigan, Québec, Canada.  Marie-Victoire died 21 June 1890 in Saint-Roch-de-l'Achigan, Québec, Canada.  Marie-Victoire was the child of Michel SENECHAL and Marie-Therese LESCARBEAU.

Louis ETHIER died 31 January 1886 in Saint-Roch-de-l'Achigan, Québec, Canada.
