Maître menuisier, fils de Joseph & Marie-Anne Schilling, de la ville et duché (province) d’Erxstedt, marié le 13 janvier 1789 (ct 11 A. Dumas) à Notre-Dame de Québec avec Gertrude Chamberlan (Prisque & Marie-Anne Vivier) ; 6 enfants dont ses filles : Eliza qui épouse Edouard Bourassa et Félicité qui épouse Louis Durand ; son fils Cyriac épouse Christine Dianais le 17 octobre 1835 à Chicoutimi (mission du Poste du roi).
