'Francois Grondin the eldest of the sons, born at La Pocatiere on 8 June 1680, married at Chateau-Richer, Beapre Coast on 29 October 1709 to Anne Darde, daughter of Antoine and of Marguerite Drouin. The couple had 6 children at La Pocatiere, where Francois was buried on 21 July 1719.'
