Margaret Hebert Obituary

Margaret Hebert, age 90, on June 11, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Beatrice Fonda. Loving wife of the late William Hebert, and cherished mother of Paul (Kelly) Hebert, Pamela (Scott) Crone, Patricia Brotz, and Philip (Deborah) Hebert. Sister of Gene Fonda, Sue Wallen, and David (Jan) Fonda. Grandmother of Nicholas, Paul, Andi, Kelly, Selena, Erika, Andrew, Kevin, and Kyle, and great-grandmother of Samantha, Anora, Liam, Hannah, Leah, Matthew, Julianna, and Devon. She will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

For years, Margaret was an RN with the VA Hospital in Buffalo. An exceptionally dedicated and active woman, Margaret always found meaningful ways to give back to her community and family. She devoted her time to teaching Sunday school at Saint Albert's Church and also served for years as a Girl Scout leader. During her children’s formative years, Margaret also found great joy in coaching both softball and baseball, enthusiastically supporting not just her own kids, but the entire team.

Friends may visit at Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver Street, corner of Ward Road, on Monday, June 16th, from 4:00PM – 7:00PM and at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 105 Vliet Boulevard in Cohoes, New York, on Wednesday from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a graveside service at St. Mary of the Assumption Cemetery, Middletown Road, Waterford.
