Biography

'She married Jean-Baptiste Jolliet; the son of Adrien Jolliet and Jeanne Dodier; on August 27, 1695 in Cap-de-Madeleine. Jean-Baptiste was killed by the Iroquois the following year and Marie-Jeanne then married Claude Guerin De Lafontaine; a Carignan soldier from Lusignan, Poiters, Poitou, France. The couple would have four children: Jacques, Jean-Baptiste, Ange and Marguerite.'
