Michel  married  Marguerite CHAPDELAINE dite LARIVIÈRE 24 July 1797 in Yamaska, Lower Canada .  Marguerite CHAPDELAINE dite LARIVIÈRE  was born 19 August 1770 in Yamaska, Québec, Canada (Saint-Michel-d'Yamaska).  Marguerite died 28 December 1809 in Yamaska, Québec, Canada (Saint-Michel-d'Yamaska).  Marguerite was the child of Jean-Baptiste CHAPDELAINE dit LARIVIÈRE and Marie-Anne JOYAL (JOYEL).

Michel JOYAL died 1 March 1820 in Yamaska, Lower Canada .
