Harry P. Peterson, 89, of Bangor, passed away Friday, November 29, 2013, at Mulder Health Care Facility, West Salem.

He was born March 2, 1924, in Westby, Wis., to Anton and Alma (Resseth) Peterson. Harry served in the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the Merchant Marines. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved trapping, trout fishing, and hunting. Harry career as a city and coach bus driver spanned many years. He was a real people person and after retirement, he enjoyed working at the Town of Burns Dump. Harry will always be remembered as the 'original master recycler'!

Survivors include six children, Shirley (Steve) Howe, Douglas (Kathy), Danny (Ann), Pamela (Steve) Pauloski, and Diane (Don) Bartz; his longtime companion, Carol Carlstrom; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters; his son, Harry James; and his nephew, Duane.

Burial in Burns Cemetery.
