"Jonathan took an oath of fidelity in 1 Oct 1641 in New Haven. He was in Saybrook in 1646 and Hartford in 1651 where he was admitted freeman. He and Mary were married in the winter of 1647 by John Winthrop. He was an assistant to Capt. Mason at Fort in 1652 and left in charge. He was appointed leather sealer of Saybrook in 1656. He is usually found as Lieutenant Jonathan Rudd."
Mary was the daughter of Michael Metcalf and Mary Fairbanks.
