NORTH GROSVENORDALE, CT Donald P. Korch, 79, of Plum Road, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009 in UMass Memorial Hospital. He was the loving husband of Irene (Blain) Korch. Born in Webster, Mass., he was the son of the late George and Mae (Osterberg) Korch.
Mr. Korch was a Veteran, having served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as a crew leader for Anchor Glass retiring in 1995. He was a member of the American Legion and volunteered as a Little League Coach.
Besides his wife, Donald is survived by his son, James Korch of Waterford, CT and his sister, Jane Plaza of Dudley, MA.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 11:00 am in St. Joseph Church, 20 Main Street, North Grosvenordale, CT. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street,
