Joseph  married  Marie-Josephe PETIT dite LAPRÉ 29 April 1748 in Varennes, Canada, New France .  The couple had (at least) 4 children.
Marie-Josephe PETIT dite LAPRÉ  was born 29 October 1727 in Boucherville, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Famille-de-Boucherville).  Marie-Josephe died 18 January 1812 in Varennes, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Anne-de-Varennes).  Marie-Josephe was the child of Louis PETIT dit LAPRÉ and Marie-Anne MEUNIER dite LAPIERRE.

Joseph FONTAINE died 21 June 1808 in Varennes, Lower Canada .
