Obituary
Longmont Ledger (Longmont, Boulder County)
Dec 23, 1898
WITHEROW--Near Longmont, Tuesday, Dec. 20, 1898, of heart disease, Martha J., wife of J. F. Witherow, aged 53 years and 6 months.
Mrs. Witherow's death was exceeding sudden and starling to her many friends. She was getting dinner Tuesday morning and Mr. Witherow left her at 11:30 to get a load of ice. On his return one of the children told him that mother was sick. He found her on the floor and she could only say she was sick. He placed her on the bed and she lived but half an hour.
She was a faithful member of the Presbyterian church, and was held in great esteem by those who knew her.
She leaves a husband and six children, the youngest being about nine years of age.
Funeral services were held at the house Thursday at 1:30 p. m., the interment taking place at the Longmont cemetery.
