Joseph-Placide THÉROUX dit LAFERTÉ  was born 11 May 1724 in Trois-Rivières, Québec, Canada (Three Rivers).  Joseph-Placide died 5 October 1782 in Yamaska, Québec, Canada (Saint-Michel-d'Yamaska).  Joseph-Placide was the child of Antoine-André THÉROUX dit LAFERTÉ and Marguerite-Marie LAFOREST.
