He married  (2) Marguerite MONDOU (MONDOUX) 23 November 1722 in Saint-François-du-Lac, Canada, New France .  Marguerite MONDOU (MONDOUX)  was born 28 January 1689 in Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Marie-Madeleine).  She was the daughter of Aubin MONDOU (MONDOUX) and Marie-Madeleine PROVENCHER.

He married  (3) Claude-Marie MIVILLE dite DESCHÊNES 22 July 1725 in Saint-François-du-Lac, Canada, New France .  Claude-Marie MIVILLE dite DESCHÊNES  was born 1 October 1681 in Rivière-Ouelle, Québec, Canada (Notre-Dame-de-Liesse).  She was the daughter of Jacques MIVILLE dit DESCHÊNES and Marie-Catherine DE BAILLON.

He married  (4) Jeanne BENOIT 13 February 1747 in Baie-du-Fèbvre, Canada, New France .  The couple had (at least) 3 children. Jeanne BENOIT  was born 31 May 1722 in Saint-François-du-Lac, Québec, Canada.  She died 7 December 1752 in Saint-François-du-Lac, Québec, Canada.  She was the daughter of Pierre BENOIT dit LAFOREST and Jeanne-Marie-Anne JACQUET ST-AMAND dite GERLAISE.

Did You Know? Québec Généalogie - What is a 'dit/dite' name?  When the first settlers came to Québec from France it was a custom to add a 'dit' nickname to the surname. The English translation of 'dit' is 'said'. The Colonists of Nouvelle France added 'dit' names as distinguishers. A settler might have wanted to differentiate their family from their siblings by taking a 'dit' name that described the locale to which they had relocated. The acquiring of a 'dit' name might also be the result of a casual adoption, whereby the person wanted to honor the family who had raised them. Another reason was also to distinguish themselves by taking as a 'dit' name the town or village in France from which they originated. This custom ended around 1900 when people began using only one name, either the 'dit' nickname or their original surname.
