Marie-Louise VANDANDAIGUE dite GADBOIS was born 28 October 1774 in Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu, Québec, Canada. She was the daughter of Pierre-Amable VANDANDAIGUE dit GADBOIS and Marie-Thérèse BROSSEAU dite LAFLEUR.

From its inception in the early 1600s until 1760, it was called Canada, New France.
