"Francois Dessureaux lived at Trois-Riveres after he left the army. On 3 Mar 1672 he agreed to marry a widow, Marie Bouart, 20 yrs old, born in 1652 in Baignoux, in Poitou. She was the daughter of Francois and Jacquette Bilaude. Her first marriage at Quebec was to Jacques Antrade, son of Louis & Louise Mettayer, on Aug 16.1668. Francoise was said to be the son of Jean Dessureaux & Anne Poraux from Saint-Pantaleon in Bourgogne. He was nearly 40 when he married and lived barely 16 years after that. On March 20, 1688 he died. Marie Bouart made a 3rd marriage the following year. On Feb 7, 1689, still in Batiscan she married Jean Boismene dit Laplante, son of Francois & Jeanne Sauvestre.
