Joseph LAVERDIÈRE  was born 31 July 1748 in Saint-Jean-de-l'Île-d'Orléans, Québec, Canada (Saint-Jean).  Joseph died 2 October 1827 in Sainte-Marie, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce).  Joseph was the child of Louis CAUCHON dit LAVERDIÈRE and Marie-Catherine MARCHAND.
