Leonard H. 'Joe' Snide, 78, of Rouses Point, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.. He was born Jan. 13, 1933, in Mooers Forks to Wilfred and Dorothy (Willette) Snide.. Leonard married Anita LaBare and together they raised nine children.. He was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Mooers and the American Legion in Champlain. He greatly enjoyed watching WWE wrestling and was an avid fan.. Mr. Snide worked for several local businesses, R. Deso, 3J Fuels and Meseck Logging, all located in Champlain, and George LaValley Mail Truck Service in Mooers.. He is survived by his wife, Anita Snide, of Rouses Point; his son, Leonard Snide of Plattsburgh and his son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sandra Snide of Mooers; his daughters and sons-in-law, Rosemary (Peggy) and Rodney Ducharme of Rouses Point, Theresa and Ricky Mesec of Champlain, Sharleen Snide of Mooers, Shirley Snide of Rouses Point, Carol and Richard Gokey of Rouses Point...Read MORE...
