Joseph DEMERS  was born 7 November 1771 in Chambly, Québec, Canada (Saint-Joseph-de-Chambly).  Joseph died 6 July 1832 in Saint-Luc, Québec, Canada.  Joseph was the child of Joseph DEMERS dit CHEFDEVILLE and Marie-Anne PAQUET dite LARIVIERE.
