Joseph DIZY dit MONTPLAISIR  was born 17 September 1707 in Champlain, Québec, Canada (Notre-Dame-de-la-Visitation).  Joseph died 24 November 1777 in La Visitation-de-l'Île-Dupas, Québec, Canada (Isle Dupas).  Joseph was the child of Michel-Ignace DIZY dit MONTPLAISIR and Marie-Jeanne BAUDOIN (BEAUDOIN).
