Salvador Dalí, the eccentric and surrealist Spanish artist, led a life as colorful and flamboyant as his imaginative paintings. Born on May 11, 1904, in Figueres, Catalonia, Spain, Dalí showed an early aptitude for art and began formal training at a young age. His parents, Salvador Dalí y Cusi and Felipa Domènech Ferrés, recognized his talent and supported his artistic pursuits.

Dalí's artistic journey truly took off when he attended the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid, where he developed his distinctive style influenced by Cubism, Fauvism, and the burgeoning surrealist movement. However, Dalí was soon expelled from the academy for his rebellious behavior and eccentricity, which foreshadowed his unconventional approach to life.

In the 1920s, Dalí moved to Paris, the epicenter of the avant-garde art scene. There, he befriended fellow surrealist artists like Joan Miró and René Magritte, but his relationship with the surrealist leader André Breton was
