Frank Sinatra was born on December 12, 1915, in Hoboken, New Jersey, and went on to become one of the most iconic and influential figures in the world of music and entertainment.
Frank's early life wasn't all glitz and glamour. Growing up in a working-class Italian-American family, he faced his fair share of challenges. His passion for music, however, became apparent early on, and he began singing in local clubs and bars. In the late 1930s, Sinatra caught the eye of bandleader Harry James and joined his orchestra as the lead singer.
It wasn't until the early 1940s, though, that Sinatra's solo career truly took off. He signed with Columbia Records and released a string of successful singles, earning him the nickname 'The Voice.' His swoon-worthy voice and charismatic stage presence quickly made him a heartthrob and a household name.
