Cartier, Jacques (1750-1814). Marchand à Québec en 1769, puis à Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu en 1772. Il avait des clients de Belœil où il était propriétaire du Vieux-Moulin avec son frère Augustin de 1814 à 1840. Député du comté de Surrey au Parlement du Bas-Canada en 1804 et 1808. Lieutenant-colonel de milice en 1808.

- Fils de Jacques Cartier dit Langevin et de Marguerite Mongeon.
- Il épousa Cécile Gervais à Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu en 1772.
- Père de Cécile (1773), Jacques (1774), Marguerite-Antoine (1776), Antoine-Pierre (1777), Benjamin (1779) et Charles-Clément (1780).
- Décédé à Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu.
