"Pierre, son of Louis Gagne and Marie Launay, native of Ige, married to Marguerite Rosee about 1639 at Saint-Come-de-Vair, went to Canada with his wife, after the birth of his fifth child, Nicolas. The founding couple was at Quebec in the summer of 1653, because on 17 September they had their last child Marguerite, baptized. This ancestor died on the Beaupre Coast on 30 April 1656."
